FAQ
What is Based Fellowship 3.0?
Based Fellowship is a 11 day shipping sprint where India’s best builders, creators, and designers team up to build real onchain products — and help them reach their first 100 users. This isn’t a hackathon. This is where ideas become launches.
When and where is it happening?
Online Kick-off: August 8–9, 2025
IRL Sprint: August 11–19, 2025
Location: Goa, India
Who can apply?
We're selecting:
20 Builders
5 Creators
5 Designers
All fellows are handpicked from India’s sharpest talent pool.
What’s expected from builders?
Build and ship a working MVP in 2 weeks
Launch your product on Demo Day
Get your first 100 users
Collaborate with your pod (2 builders + 1 designer + 1 creator)
Do I need to have an idea already?
You can come with your own idea or pick from our curated list. Just be ready to build fast and iterate in public.
What kind of projects are ideal?
Onchain, consumer-facing, farcaster mini apps or dev-tooling products with a sharp wedge and a clear user. We’ll help you shape the rest.
How can we add value to our applications?
By showing what you can do-
1. Go build mini apps, attach links in the form while you’re filling it
2. By gaining users for what you've built, show us something you've scaled
How do we fast track my application?
By building miniapps publicly:
If you’ve not built a mini app go build one.
If you've built a miniapp, go find users.
If you are unable to find users, go build another miniapp.
Post videos explaining your apps, and why you think this is built for the next million users, and tag @BasedIndia and @callusFBI
What’s my role as a designer?
You’ll co-design the MVP experience and launch assets. Think:
Clean, functional UI/UX
Mini brand system
Visuals that help ship and scale
Do I need to be great at dev tools?
Not necessarily. You’ll design for devs and with devs. But your focus is on the first 100 users — make it usable, lovable, and real.
Will I have support?
Yes. You’ll work with your pod, be guided by mentors, and have direct access to builders and creators for feedback loops.
What do creators do in the fellowship?
Creators are embedded storytellers — shipping content with builders, capturing the journey, and driving distribution.
You’ll:
Tell the builder’s story
Create content that gets first users
Help launch on Demo Day (X/Farcaster/etc.)
Document and post the behind-the-scenes of Fellowship 3.0
Do I need to be a full-time creator?
Not at all. We’re looking for people who think in formats, love documenting builds, and understand how internet-native products go viral.
What’s a pod?
Each pod = 2 Builders + 1 Designer + 1 Creator
Your pod is your team. You’ll build, iterate, ship, and launch together.
How are pods assigned?
We match pods based on interests, skills, and vibes. You'll meet your pod during the online kickoff.
What happens on Demo Day?
Demo Day is where every team ships and shares their product with the world.
You’ll:
Present your MVP IRL or remotely
Launch on X/Farcaster with creator-designed content
Get your first 100 users …and probably dance at the launch party
What do I need to bring?
Your laptop
A vibe for team-building
Anything you need to work hard and chill harder
